IDGC of Centre Will Spend RUR 45,360 mln for Power Facilities
OREANDA-NEWS. On 19 January 2009 was announced, that the Company powermen in 2008 did all their best to 100% execute their primary goal - to provide qualitative supplies of the electric power to consumers.
The industrial potential of IDGC of Centre is 2,308 substations of 35-110 kV for a total capacity of 30,366.3 Megavoltampere (MVA) and 85,097 substations of 6-10 kV for a total capacity above 14,227 MVA. Within 2008, an active construction of new power objects was held in the regions; operating substations were reconstructed and modernized.
One of the most significant objects of the global construction which was completed in 2008 was putting in operation of 110 kV Terbunskaya substation in Lipetsk.
The powermen of Lipetskenergo branch of IDGC of Centre put it in operation in August 2008. The cost of construction equaled RUR 151 million. The realization of this investment project promoted an increase in electric power transmission due to technological connection of new consumers in the Terbuny area, the Lipetsk region. In connection with a creation of Terbuny special economic zone, construction of habitation, as well as construction of new and reconstruction of the existing industrial enterprises is planned. They are brick and sugar plants, metalware factories, distillery, feed mill and pharmaceutical factory, agricultural enterprise and Rapharma medical company.
In December, Belgorodenergo branch of IDGC of Centre commissioned one more new triple-winding power transformer 1Т of 110 kV - TDTN-type (ТДТН) by a capacity of 40 MVA at 110 kV Shebekino substation. Before this modernization, its capacity was 20 MVA. Owing to putting the equipment in operation, an outlined deficiency of capacity in the Shebekino area, the Belgorod region, was liquidated.
On the eve of the new 2009 year, the Tambovenergo branch of IDGC of Centre has increased transmission capacity of the transformer substation No. 2 in the regional center. Within the limits of the reconstruction of The 110/35/6 kV Substation No. 2 which supplies power to the consumers of the central and southern parts of Tambov, the 16 MVA power transformer was replaced by the 40 MVA transformer.
The necessity to increase the transformer capacity at substation No.2 was caused by a growth of electric loadings in the central and southern parts of the city, the Deputy Director for Technical Issues - the Chief Engineer of Tambovenergo branch of IDGC of Centre Alexander Zamotay said. Within the limits of the replacement of the transformer, the workers of Tambovenergo branch of IDGC of Centre performed a large-scale construction and starting-up works. The cost of the replacement exceeds RUR 35 million.
The Kimry Electric Networks industrial division of Tverenergo branch of IDGC of Centre held works on replacement of the transformer at Raduga 110/35/10 kV substation. Until recently, the Raduga substation had a 25 MVA transformer. Within the limits of reconstruction works, its replacement by a more powerful one (40 MVA) was performed that will provide greater connected capacity to this substation. RUR 32 million 452 thousand were spent for the project. Besides, a second transformer of 40 MVA was installed at the Lazurnaya substation instead of the obsolete one; This will allow to increase connected transformer capacity, to meet demands for the increased electric loading, in that way providing connection of new consumers. The invested amount equaled RUR 32,144 thousand, VAT excluded.
In 2008, the transformer capacity was also increased from 16 to 25 MVA at Toropets 110 kV substation in Tver; the capital spending equaled RUR 4 million 200 thousand. In the 4th quarter 2009, the capacity of this substation is planned to be increased by means of installation of the new transformer of 25 MVA, then its putting into service is planned. An amount of RUR 42 million will be spent for these works within the limits of the investment program of this year.
Also in 2009, the company plans to commission Kotorosl substation - a very important object of Yaroslavl. The installed capacity of Kotorosl substation is 80 MVA with a construction of a branch line to an object of a two-circuit site of the 110 kV transmission line of 3 km in length. The future main consumers of the 110/6/6 kV Kotorosl substation are the objects which are planned to be constructed towards the city anniversary. It is a new inhabited complex, congress center, Park of the 1000th anniversary, Mariott hotel, trading and entertaining complex, and Uspensky Cathedral which will be erected in the historical part of Yaroslavl at the place of the earlier destroyed temple.
For the period from 2008 to 2012, it is planned to perform the works on construction and reconstruction of power facilities for a total amount of RUR 45,360 million RUR.
