OREANDA-NEWS. January 16, 2009. In 2008 general turnover of Ukrainian ports has amounted 132 million 178 thousand tons. This number is 107% from 2007 showings.

As compared to 2007 export has grown by 12% and in whole amounted 60 million 196 thousand tons. Import has increased by 21% and amounted 15 million 132 thousand tons.

The highest showings for the whole history of existence were demonstrated by Odessa port (34 million 562 thousand tons) and Mykolayiv port (9 million 254 thousand tons). The highest showing during the years of independence of Ukraine was demonstrated by Kherson port (4 million 264 thousand tons).

As compared to 2007 the highest speed of development of turnover of goods is shown by Ust-Danube port, which showed up 200% growth, Yevpatoriya port – 39%, Feodosiya port – 24%, Mykolayiv – 21%, Reni port – 20% growth.
