Baltnafta Oil Terminal in Kaliningrad Region to Start Operation Soon
OREANDA-NEWS. January 16, 2009. Oil transshipment complex in Svetly of the Kaliningrad region will be put into operation by Baltnafta CJSC, branch of Tatneft OJSC and resident of SEZ in the Kaliningrad region, in February-March of 2009, Tatar-Inform cites Anatoly Parfenyuk, Director General of the company. According to the source, the terminal is ready for operation. It is capable of handling 900,000 tonnes per year. Investment into the project is to exceed USD 30 million.
Commissioning of the terminal was earlier planned for 2006. Tatneft started export of diesel fuel via the Kaliningrad region in December 2001.
