OREANDA-NEWS. On 16 January 2009 was announced, that thirteen new schools and kindergartens are to be put up in north Moscow in 2009, Yury Khardikov, prefect of the northern administrative district of Moscow, said.

“Thirteen new educational facilities, including 2 schools, 2 additions to schools, a new building for cadet boarding school No 1 and 8 kindergartens are planned to be under construction in the northern district during 2009,” the prefect specified.

According to the official, approximately 3.5 billion roubles (~\\\\$108.7 million) have been allocated for developing educational facilities in north Moscow.

Mr Kardikov noted that a school designed to accommodate 825 children would be raised on Ivana Susanina Street in Western Degunino township, another one, for 550 children, would be erected on Klinskaya Street in Khovrino township. Schools No 272 and No 847 will be provided with additional buildings.

8 new kindergartens are to appear in the following townships of Moscow: Beskudnikovo, Golovino, Western Degunino, Levoberezhnoe and Sokol. “The city goes on being developed, the plans for new development are formed taking into account the citizens’ interests,” the prefect of the northern administrative district concluded.
