Forum “Economic Potential of Tashkent” to Take Place on January 28
OREANDA-NEWS. January 14, 2009. Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, As You know, in accordance with the decision of the 34-session of the UNESCO General Conference the world community will celebrate 2200 anniversary of Tashkent - the capital of Uzbekistan in May 2009.
The first event which opens the celebration of this significant anniversary is the holding of business forum “Economic potential of Tashkent” on January 28, 2009.
Tashkent today is a business center of the region where new ideas and innovations rushing to the future are implemented at the historical crossroads of the Great Silk Road between East and West.
Participation and speeches of the key governmental officials, representatives of a business community including top managers of companies with foreign investments are expected within the forum.
Presentation of the prospective sectors of economy and the submission of exact investment projects in the electrical, chemical, pharmaceutical and textile industries, energy and engineering industries, tourism and opportunities for privatization of state property, will take place during the panel meetings.
Uzbekistan, with its rich mineral resource base, high technology and scientific and technical potential, stable economic and financial situation is assessed by international financial institutions and analytic centers as a Center of Business in Central Asian region and a promising state for capital investments.
We are sure that business atmosphere of a forum will create good preconditions for concluding the mutually beneficial contracts and agreements on creation of joint manufactures in Uzbekistan.
In the framework of the business forum a cultural program with the visits of historic monuments and sights of Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva will be organized for the participants of the event.
