OREANDA-NEWS. January 14, 2009. Comissioning of the three Glonass-M satellites developed by Reshetnev Informational Satellites Systrms company and launched on Dec. 25, 2008, is carried out in line with the mission program.

Currently satellites №27, 28, 29 are driven to the defined operational locations. This stage has been finished for spacecraft №27 on Jan. 10, and now the instruments are operational. On Jan. 14 this process will be finished for spacecraft №28, satellite №29 will get its operational status on Feb. 4. The Glonass-M satellites will be ready for complete comissioning in 9-10 days after the a.m. operation is over.

Experts from the control center in Krasnoznamensk communicate each satellite two times a day. No anomaly has been detected in the satellite`s operations so far.
