Mikhailovsky Mill Increased Production Volume by 31% in 2008
OREANDA-NEWS. On 14 January 2009 was announced, that PAVA (www.apkhleb.ru), one of major Russian grain processors is summarizing 2008 results. The company’s structural unit Mikhailovsky Mill completed the year with indicators of successful performance.
In 2008 production volume of the mill grew by 31% compared to last year’s figures. It was boosted by increased demand for Mikhailovsky mill products on the domestic market as well as expanding export shipments.
The most tangible growth was seen for the production of first-grade flour(45.1%), and second-grade flour whose output increased 4 times. These sorts are especially popular with customers from near abroad.
Mikhailovsky mill is the only enterprise in PAVA structure that produces flour of extra grade. Until 2008, only Russian buyers were able to appreciate its high quality. However, in 2008, Uzbekistan consumers became interested in the product. Although production of extra-grade flour increased by 53.2%, orders are collected a month beforehand due to the intense demand.
Production volume of semolina, famous for its quality all over the country and steadily growing in popularity with Russian customers, rose by 38.7%.
Consumer-size products and bran manufacturing increased as well, by 55.2% and 34.6% respectively.
Overall, Mikhailovsky mill kept up the good working pace throughout the year, improving results systematically.
