External Debt of Moldova Increased by 19,1% for 9 Months of 2008
OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2009. According to the National Bank of Moldova, as of October 1, 2008, foreign public and state guaranteed debt amounted to US974.21 million, having increased by US 19.25 million, or 2% since the beginning of the year.
Private non-external debt grew by US 616.13 million, or 26% - from US 2 billion 368.46 million up to US 2 billion 984.59 million.
Short-term external liabilities totaled US 1 billion 425.23 million or 36% of the total debt, long-term commitments - US 2 billion 533.57 million or 64% of the total.
