OREANDA-NEWS. On January 13, 2009 President Victor Yushchenko held a consultative meeting with National Bank Chairman Volodymyr Stelmakh, Minister of Finance Viktor Pynzenyk, and Deputy Chief of President’s Staff Andrii Goncharuk on budgetary issues, reported the Official website www.president.gov.ua.

At the meeting President expressed concerns about execution of 2009 State Budget with incomes in first 10 days of this year equaling only 10,5% of the planned amount for January. According to President these incomes are also 400 million less than last year in the same period. With such a tendency, he said, the country may find itself in trouble very soon.

Beside that President Yushchenko stressed that amendments to the active budget are necessary, because ‘with such a budget the state cannot work for long”.
