OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2009. A delegation of the Gomel oblast will take part in the 2nd Bryansk investment forum scheduled for February 5-7.

The Gomel representatives will get familiar with the investment projects presented at the forum. The delegation of the Belarusian region will bring about 50 economically promising projects related to the investment in the establishment of productions and facilities on the territory of the Gomel oblast. These projects include the construction of a residential area and a water park in Gomel and shopping malls in the regional centres.

According to the economy committee, the Bryansk oblast is among most promising trading partners of the Gomel oblast. The Bryansk oblast is its fifth biggest trading partner among the Russian regions after the Moscow and Tumen oblasts, Moscow and Saint Petersburg. In 2008, the trade between the two regions exceeded USD 140 million, of which export accounted for 75%. The Belarusian enterprises that actively cooperate with the Bryansk oblast include the Belarusian Steel Works, Tsentrolit, Electroapparatura, Kirov machine-tool plant.
