OREANDA-NEWS. On 13 January 2009 was announced, that JSC “National Company “KazMunayGas” and Central Asia Petroleum Ltd, signed the Agreement on acquisition by KazMunayGas of 50 percent plus two voting shares of JSC Mangistaumunaigas (MMG).

The transaction is planned to be closed until the end of March, 2009, after appropriate authorizations from the RoK’s Agency for Protection of Competition, the European Commission, and fulfillment of the agreements arrived at earlier.

Acquisition of MMG is planned to be realized at the expense of the own funds of the KazMunayGas group of companies.
