Moscow Will Develop Three More Metro Stations
OREANDA-NEWS. On 13 January 2009 was announced, that to have three new metro stations built till 2015 is stipulated by a draft design aimed at allocating residential and non-residential facilities in Moscow scheduled for the period of time from 2011 to 2015 that was under discussion at City Hall on 13 January.
“Tekhnopark station of the Moscow Metro is scheduled to be built in 2009, Suvorovskaya and Spartak stations are to appear between 2013 and 2015,” the document says.
The city authorities are also to have the second entries to Baumanskaya, Park Pobedy and Komsomolskaya stations opened. According to Moscow’s Head Architect Aleksandr Kuzmin, the underground railway network of the Russian capital will reach Butovo, Mitino, Zhulebino and Kosino townships by 2015.
“Besides, by this time, we will have initiated the development of the third loop line within the Moscow Metro that is to start at MIBC Moskva-City,” the official noted.
The Head Architect of Moscow added that City Hall had an opportunity to have 30 km of underground railway lines built in 5 years. “Such volumes were being commissioned during the Soviet era and I believe the same is possible now too,” Mr Kuzmin concluded.
