OREANDA-NEWS. January 12, 2009. Mintimer Shaimiev, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, attended the ceremony of summing up the results of the Republican public Contest "Manager of the Year - 2008", which was held in the Cultural and Entertainment Complex Korston (Kazan), reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

Rustam Minnikhanov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the Contest Committee, awarded Badges and Diplomas to the winners of the Contest.

Upon the whole more than 130 nominees, representing different sectors of the economy were announced at the Contest. The Contest Committee identified the managers whose companies made a major contribution into socio-economic development of Tatarstan in 2008 and achieved the best results.

Rafail Nurmukhametov, Head of NGDU Leninogorskneft, was named among the other winners of the Republican Contest "Manager of the Year - 2008", as a winner in the nomination "For high social responsibility".

This well-deserved award once again proved the continuity of TATNEFT's course to improve people's lives and the continuous development of the region as well as responsible and balanced social policy of the Company.
