OREANDA-NEWS. On 11 January 2008 was announced, that Ekaterina Pochekaeva, the daughter of Yury Borisovich Pochekaev,  the electrical fitter for repairs of the equipment of the Central Electric Grid Area - the Central Electric Grid industrial branch - Kurskenergo branch - IDGC of Centre, has appeared on the solemn action devoted to Powermen Day in the Ministry of Power of Russia.
The finalist of the Regional Children's Competition "Eurovision" 2007, the winner of the All-Russia Children's Competition named after I.Reznik "Small Country", the Children's All-Russia Competition named after N. Plevitskaya, the International Competition "Crystal Magnolia" Katya Pochekaeva was thanked by the Minister of Power of the Russian Federation Sergey Shmatko. Ekaterina presented the songs "Sunflower Seeds" and " Hey, You, Over There, Upstairs!"

"Her professional and sincere performance was warmly met by the employees of the Ministry and veterans. On behalf of the Company Management and on my own behalf, I express gratitude for the assistance in the organization of performance of Pochekaeva Ekaterina in the concert", the Director for the Personnel Management of IDGC Holding Vadim Galka said in his letter.

IDGC of Centre pays much attention to support of young talents. The first stage for the thirteen-year old singer was the Kurskenergo stage where she appeared in the competitions "Light Rays" organized specially for the powermen's children. The management of Kurskenergo branch of IDGC of Centre in every possible way supports the Pochekaevs. Thus, they were given support in 2008 in organization of Katya’s trip to the IX Russian Competition of Young Vocalists "Silver Voices" which took place in Ivanovo.
