OREANDA-NEWS. On January 11, 2009 BTA Bank is launching new internet banking for individuals, which operates in the electronic documentation circulation system “Bank Online”, reported the press-centre of BTA Bank.

The Bank Online electronic documentation circulation system incorporates two options, which can be used by  private clients of BTA Bank:

internet banking – to manage personal finances via Internet

internet trading – to perform transactions in trading financial floors

Internet banking is a fully operational channel of interaction with the Bank. The service lets the client manage his/her finances being at home and perform a large number of actions via Internet:

watching account status

receiving account statements

blocking his/her bank card

switching on/switching off the SMS information service

performing transfers between his/her accounts

transferring funds to accounts of other clients of the Bank

transferring funds in favour of clients of the banks

epaying loans from other banks

paying utility bills, Internet, mobile connection, etc.

The main advantages of the internet banking is the large number of options and high level of protection: the electronic digital signature (EDS) was substituted for access code cards. Thanks to the EDS instrument the possibility of illegal use of the client’s information and performance of transactions on his/her behalf has been reduced to minimum, which makes the bank servicing safe to the maximum extent.

To connect to the new internet banking system, the client has to make one visit to the Bank’s office, sign a set of documents and get a USB appliance (Rutoken) and a CD  containing special software, which can be installed on a home or a business computer, after which the client can continue his/her communication with the Bank.

The launch of the new internet banking system is to occur simultaneously with the termination of connection to the existing service “My Bank” – in Moscow offices - from January 1, 2009, in branches – from February 1, 2009.
