OREANDA-NEWS. December 30, 2008. The Belorusneft Company has supplied 38 railway cars with the production equipment, which will be used in the oil industry maintenance services, to Venezuela.

The delivery of the special equipment to Venezuela is a regular step on the way of the development of the cooperation between the Belorusneft Company and the Venezuelan National Oil Company. The sides agreed to cooperate in the oil industry maintenance services during a visit of a delegation of the Venezuelan National Oil Company to Belarus in June 2008.

Belorusneft and the Venezuelan National Oil Company cooperate in seismic exploration research, oil extraction and certification of hydrocarbon reserves. BelTA reported earlier, in 2008 Belarusian-Venezuelan joint venture Petrolera BeloVenesolana plans to extract up to 700 thousand tonnes of oil from deposits Guara Este and Lagomedio. Following a proposal of the Venezuelan side another three deposits will be included into resources of the company. Thus, in 2009 the total oil extraction by Petrolera BeloVenesolana may be doubled.
