OREANDA-NEWS. On 30 December 2008 was announced, that City Hall is to proceed with construction of cottages for large Moscow families in Zakharyino township, Vladimir Resin, Head of Associate Board of Architecture, Construction, Development and Reconstruction of Moscow, said on December 29.

“We plan to start building another 40 cottages for our large families in Zakharyino township in the second half of 2009,” the official specified.

According to Mr Resin, the city has already found the required funds to develop these facilities.

A source from the Associate Board of Architecture, Construction, Development and Reconstruction of Moscow added that the new cottages for large families would be developed by the companies which had been involved in the project earlier – Mosinzhstroy and DSK-1.

Earlier this year, on December 20, 20 cottages for large Moscow families were commissioned in Zakharyino township. During a grand ceremony aimed at handing over the keys to the cottages to the large families, Moscow City Mayor Yuri Luzhkov declared that City Hall was to develop 44 cottage settlements in 3 years to come. “So, we will build 414 cottages in 3 years,” Mr Luzhkov noted.
