OREANDA-NEWS. December 29, 2008. Moldova will resume wine materials export to Russia. As InfoMarket agency was informed in the Agro-Industrial agency "Moldova-Vin", the first lots of Moldavian wines had already been delivered to Russia. In particular, several trucks of wine were delivered by the Imperial Vin.

According to the Moldova-wine CEO Yuri Carp, the resumption of deliveries to Russia will allow winemakers to sell the remainder of production that have been stocked since 2006 when Moldovan wines export to the Russian market was banned.

Before the grape harvesting time of 2008, Moldavian winemakers had 23 million dal. of wine remained.
