Uralsvyazinform’ BoD Prolonged Period in Office of Current CEO
OREANDA-NEWS. On 29 December 2008 was announced, that the Board of Directors of OJSC ‘Uralsvyazinform’ prolonged the period in office of the General Director Anatoly Ufimkin for the next three years - from January 29, 2009 till January 28, 2012.
‘Anatoly Yakovlevich Ufimkin is a genuine professional, teleman and experienced leader. Today OJSC ‘Uralsvyazinform’ faces an objective to survive not simply problems in the conditions of crisis, but also to keep a development trend, to raise financial, commercial, technical efficiency. The main goal of the General Director is the preservation of the leading positions of the company on the Urals telecommunications market, increase clients’ loyalty, including at the expense of introduction modern convergent telecommunication services’, – Chairman of the Board of Directors of OJSC ‘Uralsvyazinform’ and Deputy General Director of OJSC ‘Svyazinvest’ Evgeny CHECHELNITSKY noted.
Anatoly Yakovlevich Ufimkin was born on the 10th of March, 1951 in the village of Kaysarovo of the Tsilninsky Distict of the Ulyanovsk region. Having graduated from of Kuybyshev Electrotechnical Institute of Communications (nowadays – Volga Region State Academy of Telecommunications and Computer Sciences) he was directed to the city of Chelyabinsk, to work at the telegraph. He began his working experience with a post of the senior engineer of production unit "Fotogazeta-2". Then he worked as Chief of Telegraph, Chief Engineer of Regional Technological Communication Management. Since 1993 he supervised OJSC "Svyazinfrom" of the Chelyabinsk region (later it was transformed into the Chelyabinsk branch of telecommunication of OJSC "Uralsvyazinform" in 2002). Anatoly Yakovlevich Ufimkin was First Deputy of the General Director of OJSC ‘Uralsvyazinform’ since 2002 and was appointed as General Director of OJSC ‘Uralsvyazinform’ in January, 2005. Anatoly Ufimkin is awarded with Master of Communication (1996, Deserved Worker of Communications of the Russian Federation (1997), the recognition medal "For Merits before Homeland" of the II degree (2002).
