OREANDA-NEWS. December 25, 2008.  Final prelaunch operations with Proton-M rocket are carried out at the Baikonur space port. Proton-M is to loft three spacecraft for GLONASS system.

Thermal control test of the upper composite is performed today. Preparation for LV propellant filling is over.

Proton-M launch with three Glonass-M satellites aboard is planned from launch site 81 on Dec. 25 at 13:43 Moscow time.

The Glonass-M satellites have been produced by Reshetnev Informational Satellites Systems company. The satellites are to enlarge orbital constellation of the Russian GLONASS Global Navigation System.
