OREANDA-NEWS. On December 22, 2008 Kazakhtelecom (Astana), shares of which are traded in the official list of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), provided KASE with a press release, reported the press-centre of KASE:

In accordance with Order of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Informatization and Communications (No. 443 dated December 4, 2008) "On Approval of Tariffs for Universal Communications Services", Kazakhtelecom changed tariffs for individual subscribers.

Beginning January 1, 2009 tariffs for local telephone communications and international (in-area) telephone communications for individuals will be changed.

Beginning January 1, 2009 tariffs for intercity (in-area) telephone connections for individuals will be reduced by 10 %.

Subscriber payment for one telephone apparatus for individuals will reach:

For a telephone apparatus not shifted to time rate telephone connection payment system

in urban area:

- the main - KZT492.80 per month, with account of VAT.

- the main, paired - KZT386.40 per month, with account of VAT;

in rural area:

- the main - KZT297.08 per month, with account of VAT,

- the main, paired - KZT249.34 per month, with account of VAT;

For a telephone apparatus shifted to time telephone connection payment system

in urban area:

- the main - KZT244.72 per month, with account of VAT;

- the main, paired - KZT172.59 per month, with account of VAT.

Tariff for local telephone connection at time rate telephone communications payment system for individuals will reach KZT0.09 with account of VAT for each complete and incomplete 10 seconds of connection.
