Govt of Ukraine to Abolish Series of Taxes and Dues
OREANDA-NEWS. December 23, 2008. The Government suggests abolishing a series of low effective taxes and dues valid on the territory of Ukraine in its draft State Budget for 2009. The First Vice Premier of Ukraine Olexandr Turchynov informed.
According to him, the Government proposition contains to abolish such general state taxes as tax on trade, fixed tax on incomes of physical persons from entrepreneur’s activity; due to the Fund to implement measures in liquidation of consequences of the Chornobyl catastrophe and social protection; due to the State innovation fund.
The First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine explained all the mentioned taxes and dues are of low effect for the budget and burdensome in governance.
Besides, the Government suggests to call off the following taxes and dues: for participation in race tracking; for winning in hippodrome race; from persons participating in sweepstakes on hippodrome; for issuing flat voucher; from owners of dogs; for the right to use local symbols; for holding of local auctions, competitive sales and lotteries; resort dues; due for issuing permit for placement of objects of trade and services as well as utility tax.
