Megabank Enjoys Further Technical Assistance from KfW
OREANDA-NEWS. On December 22, 2008 At Kharkiv HQ of Megabank, Dr. Dagmar Wassmuth, an Independent Financial Sector Consultant, gave her practical advisory with regard to Megabank's strategizing and business planning for YE2009-2011 and improving branch management in line with the best global banking principles and practices, reported the press-centre of Megabank.
Within recent months, Dr. Wassmuth was into assessment analysis of Megabank's branch networking based on branches in Kharkiv, Dnipropetrivsk, Kyiv, Lviv and Odesa. This was part of the technical assistance provided by the German government to Megabank, with KfW as an intermediary.
"I have brought my analysis on Megabank to a close and so I should say that Megabank's approach to branch management proves to be at a high level. Yet, Megabank possesses vast capacity for development in future", said Dr. Dagmar Wassmuth.
Citing Olena Zhukova, Megabank's Chairwoman of the Management Board and CEO, as saying: "We do appreciate the scope of efforts implemented by Dr. Wassmuth. We will be as thorough as possible in studying the recommendations kindly provided by Dr. Wassmuth, and reasonably build them thereon into our business development policy".
The technical assistance given is the follow-up of the partnership between Megabank and KfW, initiated this May by the USD 10 mln. loan agreement for SME lending purposes. Along with KfW's technical assistance, Megabank is receiving technical assistance from EBRD via IPC mission on microfinance centers in Ukraine.
