OREANDA-NEWS. On 24 December 2008 was announced, that a sports and fitness centre is to be under construction on Yurovskaya Street within Kurkino experimental housing area in northwest Moscow from 2008 to 2011.

The relevant decree by City Hall was signed by Moscow City Mayor Yuri Luzhkov on December 16.

According to the document, Department of Road and Bridge Engineering of Moscow is assigned to act as a state customer. The development will be financed from the customer’s own funds and invested by LLC Nash Dom jointly with the involved co-investors which are to possess 99 per cent of the area within the recreation facility subsequently.

A customer, a developer and a prime contractor for designing and building the object will be selected by tender. The total area of the sports and fitness centre is to be 29,000 sq m.

The implementation of the decree will be supervised by Vladimir Resin, first deputy Moscow Mayor at City Hall, Head of Associate Board of Architecture, Construction, Development and Reconstruction of Moscow.
