OREANDA-NEWS. On 23 December 2008 was announced, that the commission of the newly built compressor station (CS) Bobrovnytska took place in Chernigiv region. Putting into operation of CS Bobrovnytska will allow to increase the volumes of gas injection into/gas extraction from the Chervonopartyzansk underground gas storage (UGS) up to 1.6-1.8 BCM, which positively will influence reliability and stability of work of the gas transmission system (GTS) of Ukraine on the whole.

CS Bobrovnytska can work in a mode of gas injection into/gas extraction from the underground storage and on the main gas pipeline Tula-Shostka-Kyiv. 6 new gas pumping units (GPU), made by the Sumy research-and-production corporation “Factory of Frunze”, with 30.5 % efficiency, were installed at CS Bobrovnytska. The GPUs are equipped with DT71PЗ engines of “Zorja” – “Mashproekt” manufacture. The exhaust gas heat recovery system, which will be used for the station premises heating, is provided.

The estimate cost of building is 310,1 million UAH

Mr. Oleg Dubyna, Chairman of Board of NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine”, declared that “the compressor station had become a new large-scale production object in the Company structure. The high-throughput compressor stations Dolyna, Uzhgorod, Opary have been put into operation for the last five years. NJSC “Naftogaz of Ukraine” implements consistent and purposeful policy of Ukrainian gas transmission system modernization, which long-term effective work is a convincing evidence of its reliability”.
