Motor Sich Will Deliver Helicopter Engines to Canada
OREANDA-NEWS. On 23 December 2008 was announced, that the largest aviation engines and gas-turbine units producer in the Commonwealth of Independent States, Zaporizhia-based Motor Sich company (MSICH), intends to deliver helicopter engines worth USD 12-13 million to Canada, chairman of the board of directors Viacheslav Bohuslaev told this to the Delo newspaper.
He said that earlier, the company supplied Canada only with some parts of the engines.
He said that these engines will be used at Ka-32 helicopters designed for forest cleaning.
Bohuslaev has not specified the terms for delivery of the engines.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Motor Sich reported a net profit of UAH 236.190 million for the year 2007, when its net revenues increased by UAH 146.066 million or 52.04% to UAH 426.743 million compared to 2006.
The 9.7-percent stake in the Motor Sich open joint-stock company belongs to the Bartens Allians Ltd, the United States; 6.058% to the Business House Helena AG, Panama; 5.7% to Kyiv-based Finance and Credit Bank; and 14.983% to directors" board chairman Viacheslav Bohuslaev.
Motor Sich produces engines for Mi-8, Mi-17, and KA-226 helicopters as well as engines for Аn-70, Аn-124, Аn-140, Аn-148, and Yak-130 airplanes.
