OREANDA-NEWS. December 22, 2008. In the building of the NPC “Ukrenergo” to the address of 27 Kominterna street a Center of supervisory control of the Central electric system was solemnly opened, coverage area of which includes all objects of the integrated power system of Ukraine in the city of Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Cherkasy and Chernihiv regions.

The opening ceremony was attended by acting director of the NPC “Ukrenergo” Kostiantyn Uschapovskyi, director of the Central electric system Oleksandr Bondarenko, head of the general contracting agency STC “Elektro” Leonid Pohorilyi, employees of the NPC “Ukrenergo” and CES, heads of control centers and supervisors of electric systems, representatives of electric power stations and oblenergo of the central region.

The center of supervisory control project, the value of which totals UAH 22.9 million, was drafted by the Kharkiv State Engineering Research Institute “Ukrenergosetproject”

The main purpose of the Center aimed at improvement of the security of energy objects operation through the application of new methods of information and communications projection, wide use of microprocessor technology. Creation of maximum comfortable supervisor workplaces and conditions of life is no less important component of the project.

The project and all works concerning transference of the operative-dispatch control system from the building of “Kyivenergo” (I. Franko Square) have being carried out under conditions of uninterrupted operative control of the energy system.

Chief supervisor of the CES Yurii Kasich reported in detail about new technology and equipment of the Center, in particular, about its core – the dispatcher panel. For power supply to the object of special group of the 1st category a diesel-generator set 80 kilovolt-ampere (made in France) was installed. Access control systems, multizone lighting system, combined extract-and-input system and conditioning were installed. Joint use of classical dispatcher control panel and up-to-date remote viewing displays of LCD panel to control the energy system is a reliable assistant to a duty dispatcher and guarantee of his error-free work.

Acting director of the NPC “Ukrenergo” Kostiantyn Uschapovskyi noted high level of technical equipment of the dispatcher center and proper fulfillment of works, expressed gratitude to the leadership of CES and STC “Elektro”, all employees for coordinated and efficient work, wished the other systems to hardly work at implementation of the investment projects using experience of the Central electric system.
