OREANDA-NEWS. December 19, 2008. In Moscow’s "Gallery of arts” with Embassy’s of the Republic of Latvia assistance the exhibition of painting and drawing of private collections of Russian artist and the founder of Riga art school Sergey Vinogradov (1870-1938) took the place, reported the press-centre of Baltic International Bank.
 
After early paintings the artist has concentrated on landscape in the spirit of Impressionism. In 1912 he received academic degree, since 1916 he has been the full member of the Academy of Arts. S.Vinogradov taught in Stroganovsky’s art-industrial school in Moscow. Since 1924 Sergey Vinogradov has lived and worked in Riga where he has founded own art school.
 
At the exhibition spoke the following persons: Riga antiquary Arthur Avotinsh (Arturs Avotins), the second secretary of Embassy of the Republic of Latvia Yolanta Skrupska (Jolanta Skrupska), the connoisseur of art of Sergey Vinogradov and critics from Russia.
 
Along with the invited visitors, representatives of Baltic International Bank in Moscow also have participated in the exhibition. The Bank management expresses gratitude to organizers of the cultural event and hospitable owners of "Gallery of arts” - Mr A.Kiselev and Mrs O.Stefantseva.
