OREANDA-NEWS. On 22 December 2008 was announced, that on 18 December 2008 at 12:00 Nicopol was filled with ringing children voices. Children from orphanages “Romashka”, “Orlienok” and a boarding school “Harmony”, as well as children who are in the custody of the families, came to meet with St. Nicholas and ask him to fulfill their hearts’ desires.

350 children watched the performance “Prince-rabbit” staged by the Regional Youth Theater of Musical Drama, and received their gifts. On such a day they traditionally had sweets and fruit.

Vera Nevinchannaya, Director of Charity Fund CENTRAVIS:“The celebration on the eve of St. Nicholas Day has become a good tradition which we maintain during four years already. This day children are waiting for a miracle, gifts, but most of all they want attention, warmth and care. We tried to give them an opportunity to feel at least a bit the atmosphere of this family holiday. It was a real pleasure for our staff to work on this project, especially when we were awarded with smiles and shining faces of children”.

Greeting of children-orphans with the holiday — is one more step of CENTRAVIS in the framework of the programme of corporate social responsibility of the company. We remind that the main directions of the programme are medicine, and social assistance to vulnerable people and education of the youth in the Nikopol region.
