OREANDA-NEWS. December 19, 2008. The National Bank of Uzbekistan for Foreign Economic Activity offers a new time deposit in national currency titled "Yangi Yil Tuhfasi" (New Year Present).

The deposit term is 60 days, and the annual interest rate offered for the first 30 days is 18% plus 6% bonus, and for the next 30 days – 18% plus 2% bonus, the press service of the bank said.

The interest and bonuses are paid at the end of the deposit period, without compounding. The size of the deposit is not restricted. Additional instalments to the deposit are not accepted.

The bank will accept deposits until 31 December 2008.
