OREANDA-NEWS. December 17, 2008. Fishman Group is ready to put US500 million in the construction of a set of facilities in the Belarusian High-Tech Park, company’s co-owner Eliezer Fishman told reporters after his meeting with Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorsky, reported the Official website www.government.by.

According to Mr Eliezer Fishman, the project can be launched in 2009. The construction is expected to last five or six years. The Fishman Group official said that the precise amount of investments will depend on the number of the participants involved in the project. It will be financed by Fishman Group funds and with the help of bank loans and other partners.

The meeting with the Belarusian Premier focused on the concrete implementation of the project, Mr Eliezer Fishman said. “This project is very important for us,” he stressed.

General Manager of the investment project, President of International Joint Industries Naum Furash said that Fishman Group is one of Israel’s largest financial and industrial companies investing in construction, high technologies and trade. A subsidiary company has been set up to implement the projects in Belarus. It has already been assigned a land parcel for development. The company acts as a contractor and financial operator of the project.

Relying on its big experience, Fishman Group will create a single compound of buildings and facilities in the High-Tech Park. A general layout will be designed. Contracts will be signed with resident companies of the Park entitling them to either to buy our or lease the facilities.

Naum Furash also informed that the sides agreed that not only companies involved in IT industry could join the High-Tech Park. All the companies dealing with high technology in any sector will be welcomed.

The Fishman Group is one of Israel’s largest and most renowned private investment companies. In Israel the company operates more than five millions square metres of commercial industrial facilities and real estate. The company has recently made great strides in the international market, especially in real estate and trade. In 2002, the Group initiated strategic projects in Russia, Ukraine and India.

In early 2008, the company signed a partner agreement with the Lyons Company (South Africa) that envisages co-investing in the High-Tech Park of Minsk.
