Megabank to Pursue Tender Award for Its Integrated Clearing Center
OREANDA-NEWS. December 16, 2008. City Counsel overruled the Resolution of City Executive Committee as of 01.07.08, which awarded Oshchadbank (State Savings Bank of Ukraine) Branch in Sumy Oblast to start up an integrated clearing center in Sumy, reported the press-centre of Megabank.
It was canceled due to the bidder's failure to meet Tender Committee requirements and its tender undertakings, such as ensuring that clients can request the balance statement of their utility payments free of charge and that 6-7-digit virtual number be assigned to every household to be associated with a municipal card.
As Megabank participated in the bidding of the Sumy City Executive Committee Tender for Integrated Clearing Center for utility payments, Sumy Oblast Branch of Oschchadbank, JSC (State Savings Bank of Ukraine) was awarded.
Yuriy Sergeev, Megabank's Deputy Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Officer of Integrated Clearing Center, reported: "We warned right there in July that it would be a real challenge for Oshschadbank to meet its tender undertakings within 2 months because of weak experience and end-to-end ICC infrastructure is yet to be developed. We, on our part, offered to deliver our business solutions which have already proved to be efficient in Kharkiv, Poltava, Chernyhiv, Kirovograd, Cherkasy, Town of Nova Kakhovka in Kherson Oblast and Donetsk.
With our 10-year expertise in maintaining Kharkiv-based ICC, we strongly believe that our vision of integrated maintenance of utility payments will best cater for Sumy authorities needs, therefore we are poised to propose Sumy City Executive Committee to deploy Megabank as the basis for building up such clearing facilities".
As the awarded bidder, Megabank has already opened such centers in Kharkiv, Kirovograd, Poltava, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Town of Nova khakhovka in Kherson Oblast, Lviv and Donetsk. ICC clientbase totals 1,741,839 personal accounts, 10% share of the nation's households.
