OREANDA-NEWS. On December 16, 2008 The Memorandum was signed by the Minister of Economics Bohdan Danylyshyn, Minister of Industrial Policy Volodymyr Novytsky, President of an all-Ukrainian association of organization of employers “Confederation of employers of Ukraine” O. Sokolovsky and First Vice President of an all-Ukrainian association of regional organizations of employers of light industry enterprises V.Izovit.

The meeting’s participants aired a thought that the Memo would strengthen partnership relations between the authorities and public organizations and their associations which represent interests of enterprises and would enable to attract professional public organizations to the process of determination of general conditions of carrying out business in branch and interbranch aspects.

Signing of the Memorandum will also facilitate to wider and more qualitative informing and analytical maintenance of activity of profile ministries and public organizations which deal with the development of light industry as well as applying of analytical conclusions in raising of competitiveness of the light industry and effectiveness of economy of the state.

The main objective of development of light industry, according to the Economics Minister of Ukraine Bohdan Danylyshyn, appears increase of investment appeal of the branch, stirring up of technical upgrading of the industry, which will provide an opportunity to grow the amounts of competitive production, protecting of internal market from dumping import.

According to the Economics Minister of Ukraine Bohdan Danylyshyn the Memo was signed in order to ensure:

- elaborating and forming of effective strategy of the state industrial and economic policy in the light industry taking into account propositions of the Confederation of employers of Ukraine;

- achieving of maximal accuracy in studying main tendencies and evaluation of their influence on forming of showings of industrial production, elaborating of forecasts of development of the light industry;

- timely informing of light industry enterprises in terms of occurring and introducing new methods of tariff and non-tariff regulating of access of national production to the world markets and elaborating of effective strategy of overcoming potential fallouts;

- mastering and forming of national priorities of development of the light industry;

- macroeconomic stability and growth in the light industry, in particular, and the state in whole;

- introducing of a coordinated state line of integration of Ukraine’s economy into the European and world economics;

- elaborating of effective general rules of leading business in the light industry.
