OREANDA-NEWS. December 17, 2008. The Ivanovo Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (OFAS Russia) fined "Energosetevaya Compania" Ltd. the total amount over 12 million Rubles, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

"Energosetevaya Compania" Ltd. has dominant position on the market of buying-and-selling electrical energy within the boundaries of the electric mains of network organizations. The company restricted supplies of electric power to the residents of the "Krasnovetkinets-3" Housing Cooperative and the "Avtomobilist" Housing Cooperative (Kineshma, Ivanovo region) on 16.07.2008 and 28.07.2008 in the absence of any arrears, and ignored consumer rights for continuous supply of utilities to the residential housing.

The Ivanovo OFAS Russia recognized that "Energosetevaya Compania" Ltd. violated Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" and in accord with Article 14.31 of the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Violations made two Rulings on imposing fines for abusing dominant position for the total amount over 12 million Rubles.
