OREANDA-NEWS. December 17, 2008. A supervision audit of Bureau Veritas Certification quality management system, which was conducted in December 8-12 2008, revealed full compliance of Uralmashzavod quality management system with ISO 9001:2000 requirements. The certificate was received in January 2008, its validity period - to 2011.

The audit highlighted an analytical approach to quality management system implementation and strong management in planning, preproduction and logistics processes. Recommendations have been given for improving the following aspects of the quality management system: process efficiency assessment methods, corrective actions monitoring and electronic documents management at the plant.

The supervision audit, which confirmed the validity of the Bureau Veritas Certification certificate for Uralmashzavod quality management system as consistent with ISO 9001:2000 requirements, marks the final point in successful certification activities of the plant's subdivisions in 2008.

Along with quality management system certification in accordance with ISO 9001:2000, Uralmashzavod also carried out product certification as per GOST P system and welding production certification:
receipt of a conformity certificate issued by OS PROMMASH for primary, secondary  intermediate and fine cone crushers;
receipt of a conformity certificate issued by NII-TEST for drilling equipment components;
welding production certification activities by a German firm DVS ZERT resulted in a conformity certificate of the European welding federation and a manufacturer's qualification certificate.
