OREANDA-NEWS  On 17 December was announced, that LUKOIL’s environmental protection activities were highly praised by the RF Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology. The Company’s projects won in two nominations of the contest entitled Best Environmental Project of the Year held by the Ministry.

The project entitled Environmental Activities in Oil and Gas Companies. Reclamation of Oil Contaminated Areas in Usinsk Region of Komi Republic by LUKOIL-Komi won in the nomination Environmental Protection Techniques. 

LUKOIL Public Relations Department was awarded diplomas in the nomination In Harmony with Nature for two documentaries: Accident: Ten Years Later. Environmental Rehabilitation of an Area in Komi Republic and On the Threshold of the Arctic. Ensuring Environmental Security while Developing Fields in Timan-Pechora Oil and Gas Province.

‘This diploma is not only evidence of acknowledgement but also an official environmental certificate. It is a declaration by the government that this project was elaborated based on the best available techniques. It is harmonized with Russia’s nature’, Yury Trutnev, the RF Minister of Natural Resources, said.
