Bank of Lithuania Reported on Its Balance Sheet for November
OREANDA-NEWS. December 16, 2008. In November, external assets of the Bank of Lithuania decreased by LTL 2.0 billion to form LTL 14.6 billion at the end of the month, and external liabilities shrank by LTL 54.2 million to LTL 99.9 million, reported the press-centre of Bank of Lithuania.
Currency in circulation went down by LTL 123.3 million to LTL 9.5 billion at the end of the month. Resident deposits with the Bank of Lithuania contracted by LTL 1.6 billion to LTL 3.6 billion, of which, deposits of other MFIs decreased by LTL 1.1 billion to LTL 2.1 billion at the end of the month, while central government deposits went down by LTL 463.2 million to form LTL 1.4 billion at the end of November.
Changes in the balance sheet items of the Bank of Lithuania have been disclosed taking into account transactions, i.e. by eliminating the effect of revaluation adjustments of prices and foreign exchange rates as well as other reclassifications.
