OREANDA-NEWS. December 15, 2008. SibCOTES has been nominated for a Grand Prix during the annual international contest of Internet-resources Electrosite of the Year. Final evaluation of results and the awarding ceremony were arranged within the Exhibition “Electric Power Grids in Russia” held in Moscow on December 5, 2008.

A number of electrical companies from Russia and former CIS countries took part in Electrosite-2008 contest, which has been organized by a specialized Electrical Engineering Digest “Electrical Market”. Information agency INFOline has become a media sponsor for the competition.

The main objectives of the event were to identify the best websites within the electrical engineering field, promote development and consolidation within electrical Internet-community, and assess IT level of the industry. The contest was divided into five categories, and the assessment criteria included the following: design, business-model, user-friendly navigation, site content, and information update.

This year, Internet-contest Electrosite of the Year started on September 1 and lasted for 65 days. Total of 95 sites of electrical companies were approved for the contest. The results of the Internet voting for the People\'s Choice Award have rated SibCOTES the fifth, with the company having received 845 votes.
