Moscow Metro Conducted Best Driver-Instructor Competition
OREANDA-NEWS. December 15, 2008. The seventh annual competition among drivers-instructors was held in Moscow metro training centre on December 5, 2008.
16 persons participated in the competition this time, 15 of them representing Moscow metro depots and 1 person representing the Butovskaya line of light metro. All of them had already won the preliminary competitions held in each of the depots.
The final of the competition consisted of two parts. First the participants had to write instructions of manoeuvring the rolling stock. As a result, all of them scored the same number of points.
Then came a theoretical part where each of the participants had to answer 25 questions.
However, the competition did not end there. It turned out that two persons had scored the same number of points and thus were claiming to get the first prize. They were instructors from Zamoskvoretskoe and Izmailovo depots. The jury decided to determine the winner by giving 5 extra questions to both of the competitors.
The first three prize winners scored 42, 39 and 37 points accordingly. Boris Zaitsev from Zamoskvoretskoe depot won the competition. He was followed by Roman Bratkov from Izmailovo depot who came second. Andrey Gavrikov who was the second prize winner in a similar competition last year, came third. He was representing Varshavskoe depot.
The three prize winners will get bonuses of 25, 20 and 15 thousand roubles.
