OREANDA-NEWS. December 12, 2008. This was said by Minister of Russian Federation Sergey Shmatko during his meeting at Kazan Kremlin with President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev. In his address President of RT thanked Sergey Shmatko for participating in the opening at Kazan X International Specialized exhibition " Power Engineering. Resource Efficiency -2008" and International Symposium " Energy Efficiency and Energy Conservation".

The tenth specialized international exhibition " Power Engineering. Resource Efficiency" and the International Symposium "Energy Resource Efficiency and Energy Conservation" were traditionally held on the territory of JSC "Kazan Fair". This is the big event in power engineering allowing to demonstrate the latest innovations of efficient technologies and energy conservation facilities, discuss the stages of implementation of power programs and urgent issues.

The exhibition and symposium were attended by the managers and representatives of the Government of Republic of Tatarstan, Ministry of Industry and Power Engineering of Russian Federation, Federal and Regional Power Engineering commissions, JSC "Gazprom", JSC "Tatenergo ", JSC "Tatneft", JSC "Nizhnekamskneftehim" and other organizations of Republic of Tatarstan and regions of Russia.

"Дwe have understood that we have to save the energy resources with help of the new technologies. To this aim in "Tatenergo" was founded the special center. A lot was done in this area, the world experience was studied, – told Mintimer Shaimiev. – Energy conservation is critical in many spheres of economics. It is naïve to take about competitive ability forgetting about energy conservation".

In 2000 in Tatarstan was approved the Republicаn target program of resource efficiency for 2001-2006. It became the priority in the area of energy policy. Its realization allowed by 28 per cent decrease the energy capacity of the gross regional product, 4 million tone of reference fuel were saved with the total economical efficiency in amount of 6.7 billion rubles. "I was pleased to see how are solved the issues of energy efficiency in Tatarstan. In Minenergo of RF we are developing the serious Federal program for energy efficiency and it was critical to familiarized with piratical experience of implementation of projects in the area", - told to reporters after the meeting Sergey Shmatko. In his words in Republic is collected the unique practical expertise of utilization of energy conservation technologies. This experience will be by all means considered in utilizing the program of energy conservation on the territory of Russian Federation.

As part of actions for energy conservation at "Kazan Fair" was held the pres conference with Minister of Power Engineering of Russian Federation Sergey Shmatko and Prime-Minister of Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

"Tatarstan , despite the crisis is not going to refuse the implementation of projects in the area of development of eh generation capacities in power engineering- told Prime-minister of Republic Rustam Minnikhanov. In his opinion "power engineering industry remains the priority and we will modernize it". This is vital requirement as the existing power capacities as well as anywhere in Russia were founded according to the old technologies, told the Premier.

"As in the last years the situation on the finance market changed, – told Rustam Minnikhanov, – the new form of project implementation will be considered". Specifically, he import equipment will be provided with credit facilities of the banks of respective countries, that hold interest in support of producer. At the same time of Tatarstan will address management of Russia and Russian financial institutions whose priority is financing of infrastructure projects. As said Rustam Minnikhanov, such are the projects of "Tatenergo" as part of total federal program of industry development.

"JSC "Tatenergo" may expect support from Federal center when implementing its investment projects", – said at the press-conference Minister of Power Engineering of Russia Sergey Shmatko. Tatarstan as the fast growing economical region with big potential must not have restrictions fro industrial growth.

Sergey Shmatko said that for such support it is necessary to meet the two prerequisites: first – to have the comprehensible and efficient program of cost reduction, second – in upgrading the capacities – to make a maximal use of domestic facilities. As says the Federal minister "Tatenergo" meets the first requirement. He saw the evidence when familiarized with the stands of the company at the exhibition " Power Engineering. Resource Efficiency". As regards eh second pre-requisite at the same exhibition Sergey Shmatko seen "good pilot domestic installations that may be used in "Tatenergo".
