Largest Share in Moldavian Export Belongs to Textile Goods
OREANDA-NEWS. December 11, 2008. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, it is 19.3% more than in January-October 2007.
Then follows: foodstuffs, beverages and tobacco - 19.4% for US262.4 million (+22%), plant products - 11.6% for US 156.6 million (23.1%), machinery and equipment, electrical appliances, audio-video equipment - 10.9% for US 147.4 million ( 2.2 times as much), non-precious metals - 8.3% for US 111.8 million (27.1%), mineral products - 4.6% for US 61.8 million (26.2%), fats and oils of animal and vegetable origin - 3.8% for US 51.1 million (17.4%), stone, plaster, cement, ceramics, glass - 3.4% for US 46.7 million (10.1%) , footwear, headgear, umbrellas - 3.1% for US 42 million (25.9%), articles of plastic and rubber - 2.4% for US 32.9 million (20.4%), raw and tanned leather, fur - 2.1% for US 29 million (23.4%).
The share of these 12 commodity groups makes 91.4% of the total export from Moldova. Total export from Moldova in January-October 2008 amounted to US 353.8 million (+27%).
