OREANDA-NEWS. On December 10, 2008 Ministry of Labour and Social Policy of Ukraine submitted for consideration by their social partners proposition on creating within the Ministry a constant acting representative office of trade unions and associations and all-Ukrainian associations of employers’ organizations.

The Minister of Labour and Social Policy Liudmyla Denysova announced in her statement at a joint sitting of presidiums of Central Committees of Trade Unions of Budget Employees. According to Liudmyla Denysova this step will enable a more constructive dialog within the frames of the National Trilateral Social Economic Council under the President of Ukraine. Furthermore, without being coordinated with trade unions no document concerning solving of social issues shall be put for consideration during the Government sessions.

Liudmyla Denysova emphasized that next year’s tasks appear cessation of growth of unemployment, ensuring non-deficit budget of the Pension Fund. Fight against layoffs at enterprises will be carried through support of those employers avoiding layoffs. People temporary losing their jobs will receive the state backing, the Minister stressed and underlined the Government is working over minimizing the fallouts of the world financial crisis and activates activity with regards to the social component of 2009 State Budget.

In his turn the Head of Trade Union Federation of Ukraine Vasyl Khara emphasized on the importance of fruitful cooperation with the Government, holding of constant consultations aiming surviving the crunch joining efforts and with people’s needs in mind.
