OREANDA-NEWS. December 11, 2008. For already several years during so called New Year holidays underwriters of European Bureau of Transsiberian Reinsurance Corporation work in usual manner.

Such decision is necessitated by the fact that most of its business European Bureau of the Corporation does with foreign companies. During the last years premium share from abroad makes up 70-80% and even more.   

Considering geography of reinsurance premiums of Transsib Re European Bureau in 2007 most of their part fell to Kazakhstan (more than 40% of gross-premium) and Turkey (a little less than 20%). Earnings from reinsurers-non-residents, from other CIS countries and Europe made up 1-2%.

The countries which cooperate with Transsib Re either do not have New Year holidays at all (like in Czech Republic, where the Corporation branch is located) or they have them for a very short period. Apart from that many European countries have Christmas holidays before the New Year.  

For the quotations to be operatively handled and reinsurance contracts to be concluded in the first days of 2009 year, reinsurance department of European Bureau of Transsib Re will be represented by duty underwriter every day.
