MES and KAMAZ Signed Agreement of Cooperation
OREANDA-NEWS. December 11, 2008. Sergey Shoigu, Emergency Situations Minister of the Russian Federation, and Sergey Chemezov, Chairman of KAMAZ Board of Directors, Director General of Rostekhnologii State Corporation, signed an agreement about cooperation development of MES and KAMAZ in 2008-2009.
As agreed KAMAZ undertakes to work out a number of measures aimed at cooperation effectiveness increase: to consider the possibility of immediate delivery of fire and special automotive equipment in 2008-2009; to prepare suggestions for repair and modernization of the KAMAZ fire and special equipment available to MES of Russia; to look into the issues of warranty period growth for production MES of the RF needs.
The priority area of cooperation of KAMAZ and MES will be participation in placing of orders for delivery of automotive equipment, diesel-engine and gas-fired isolated generating plants to service the winter Olympiad-2014 in Sochi and World Student Games in Kazan.
MES has about 3.5 thousand units of special equipment on KAMAZ chassis, and real need is about 5 thousand units. It makes it possible to expect that MES will become one of the heaviest users of KAMAZ production in the near future.
