OREANDA-NEWS. December 10, 2008. An all-purpose armoured vehicle “Vystrel” KAMAZ-43269 can replace a currently used BTR-80 APC, according to the press service of the Internal Forces of the RF Ministry of Home Affairs.

Usable on open roads as well as in the field, “Vystrel” is not inferior to the legendary tank T-80 UK by cross-country ability. The vehicle is intended for operation at the ambient temperature from –45°С to +50°С, with relative air humidity of 98%, wind speed of up to 30 mps, in the mountains on the height of up to 4500 m.

“Vystrel” accommodates 10 fighters, 16-millimeter armour guarantees full local armouring under fire by 6 protection class. Fighters can fire enemy troops through loopholes themselves, and a V bottom disperses explosion energy when a vehicle runs on a mine. A diesel engine is started without preliminary oil system priming. Besides, “Vystrel” with specific capacity of 20 hp on a tonne of weight is almost noiseless – there is a chance to steal up to an enemy softly.

A new armoured vehicle is supposed to be produced in various modifications. All units and aggregates of “Vystrel” are completely unified with units and aggregates of production KAMAZ vehicles. It makes their operation, service and repair much easier. After trial operation and finish “Vystrel” vehicles will be delivered to operations military units, special mission units and recons.
