OREANDA-NEWS  On 10 December was announced, that the Belarusian Scientific and Industrial Association calls on the lower house of parliament to enable staffs of state-run enterprises that are being privatized to purchase stakes in their companies, the chairman of the Association, Nikolai Streltsov, told reporters.

The Association insists that employees of state-run enterprises subject to privatization that have worked for over 10 years should enjoy a pre-emptive right to purchase at least a 10% stake of the total share issue. The Association also believes it necessary to index personal Property privatization vouchers to adjust their value to changes in the value of key assets.

According to Streltsov, to implement the proposal the administration of Belarus may amend presidential ordinance #605, passed in 2008.
