OREANDA-NEWS  On 10 December was announced, that Zaporizhtransformator plant (ZATR) intends to deliver 21 transformers worth USD 12.5 million to the JSC AzerEnergy energy company, Azerbaijan, by 2009, the plant said this in the report. In compliance with the requirements of the contract, the plant produced lot of transformers for the AZENCO company, which is a subsidiary of the AzerEnergy. The contract was signed in April. In June, Ukraine major producer of transformers, ZaporizhTransformator (Zaporizhia), is planning to supply 49 transformers to Azerbaijan-based JSC AzerEnergy and its subsidiary AZENCO before 2009.

Zaporizhtransformator reported a net profit of UAH 429.712 million for the year 2007, when its net revenues increased by UAH 1,047.188 million or 101.32% to UAH 2,080.715 million compared with 2006. Karatano Ltd, Zadano Ltd, and Azidano Ltd (all Cyprus) each own 24.99% of the shares in Zaporizhtransformator while Artamare Ltd (Cyprus) owns 23.65%. Zaporizhtransformator is part of businessman Konstantin Grigorishin Energy Standard group. Zaporizhtransformator, which is an open joint-stock society, specializes in the production of power transformers, special and distributive transformers, and power reactors.
