OREANDA-NEWS. December 9, 2008. KAMAZ participated in the 8th All-Russian exhibition “Russian producers and supply support of the Armed Forces” in Moscow.

The exhibition was held in accordance with the decision of the RF Minister of Defence with the assistance of the RF Government. Its aim was to embody the principle “Credible Suppliers to Safe Customers”. Traditionally the organizers take measures to arrange the meeting of clients and manufacturers, to widen the circle of safe partners and work out practical steps for supply of the Armed Forces, other security, defence and law enforcement agencies with high-quality production. More than 250 companies from about 50 RF regions and also from foreign countries (Republic of Belarus, Latvia, Estonia, Azerbaijan, Poland, Germany, France) participated in the exhibition.

The Russian Federation starts to rearm the Army, optimize the military vehicle fleet, reform the organizational structure. Being the largest truck producer in Russia and one of the principal suppliers of the Russian military vehicles, KAMAZ is an active participant of these processes.

At the exhibition KAMAZ presented its four products.

The side prime mover KAMAZ-6560 (8x8) is one of high-powered KAMAZ vehicles. This all-terrain truck tractor equipped with the engine KAMAZ-740.63-400 (Euro-3) of 400 hp embodies the advantages of all kinds of KAMAZ heavy vehicles – both of the high payload line 6520 and the army “Mustangs”. It carries 19 tonnes hauling a 12-tonne trailer at the same time. And it is quick and handy, able to make 90 km/h and to get over fords 1.75 meters deep.

The multipurpose army vehicle KAMAZ-65224 (6x6) with carrying capacity of 14 tonnes can tow a 12-tonne trailer in addition to this cargo too. This trailer opens the line of new models with gross weight of 38.35 tonnes in the combination. The engines of 360 – 600 hp produced by KAMAZ Inc., Deutz and Cummins secure high towing performance and dynamic characteristics of vehicles of this line.

The all-wheel drive artic KAMAZ-65225 equipped with the brand engine KAMAZ-740.63-400 (Euro-3) of 400 hp became the father of the heavy line for the Armed Forces in its time. KAMAZ-65225 can haul semi trailers with gross weight of 70 tonnes, carry light and heavy track-type equipment. The six-wheeler KAMAZ-65225 is well-known to carriers of cargo. The “tank carrier”, as it was named by its developers and the military, is able to run on roads of all categories – both in cities and on international highways. By the way, as to cargo, the combination on the basis of KAMAZ-65225 can carry a heavy tank T-80. And if needed it will get over a ford one meter deep.

And, at last, one of the most interesting modern models is a multipurpose personnel carrier KAMAZ-43501. The truck with carrying capacity of 3.8 tonnes was developed on the basis of KAMAZ-4350. This vehicle must replace an old and discontinued GAS-66 and also compete with GAS-3308 “Sadko”. The vehicle is completed with a starting preheater, a gang, collapsible benches in a body and other equipment.

The vehicles produced by KAMAZ Inc. proved its unquestionable advantages more than once. Easy-to-work and cheap, reliable and ready to operate under the most severe conditions, it earned the customers’ praise by right.
