OREANDA-NEWS  On 08 December was announced, that TGC-1 announced appointment of new CEO. Boris Vainzikher was born April 8, 1968 in Khabarovsk. In 1993 he graduated from St. Petersburg State Polytechnic Institute with major in "Turbomachinery". After graduation he worked at Lenenergo’s CHP-15, first as engineer and then as Head of industrial-engineering department of the plant.

In 1998 joined Lenenergo’s management team. He consecutively held positions of Head of the Division of capital construction of power plants and heat network, Deputy Head of capital construction department, Director of engineering-analytical centre. In 2000 he was appointed Director for Technical Development.

As of 2001 Mr. Vainzikher became Director of Lenenergo’s Kirishskaya GRES, and later CEO of JSC "Kirishskaya GRES".

In 2005 Mr. Vainzikher was appointed Technical Director of RAO "Unified Energy Systems of Russia" and a member of the holding’s Management Board. From September 2006 to October 2007 he worked in parallel as CEO of JSC "Power Machines".

On July 1, 2008 he resigned from the position of Technical Director of RAO UES as the holding was liquidated as part of the sector reform.
