OREANDA-NEWS. On December 04, 2008 Ukio bankas increased interest rates on time, savings and universal deposits, reported the press-centre of Ukio bankas.

Clients, placing a time deposit for three months in the Litas, will earn up to 8.55 percent in annual interest. Time deposits placed for a 12-month and longer period will yield a 9 percent and higher interest.

A 12-month maturity savings deposit will earn 8.9 percent in interest whereas a universal deposit of the same maturity – 8.8 percent interest.

The highest interest, 9.4 percent, will be paid on time deposits in the Litas placed for a 3-year and longer period.

An 8 percent annual interest will be paid on time deposits placed for a 12-month and longer period in euros and pounds sterling, whereas deposits of the same maturity in US dollars will earn 6.5 percent in annual interest.
